I wish I could tether tonight

Did you just move home and need internet on the computer? Is tethering your only chance but your carrier will not allow you to use it? This is just something temporary, you argue, but your carrier disagrees and insists that tethering breaks the rules and should be charged as an extra, every month from now on.

I think connecting to a VPN as soon as your tethering connection starts and allow the encryption to make your connection impossible to sniff could improve your chances here. It is a real pity that the experiment does not seem legal unless I first seek for legal advise and therefore I cannot even try.

On the other hand, is it legal for the carrier to sniff into your connection looking for desktop browser traffic? Should I also try to sue my carrier for that?

Do you remember the good old times, when you could breath without having to ask a lawyer?
